Definition: The m2 and m3 series micro welding power supplies use the basic principles of a High Frequency Inverter in conjunction with an exclusive twin control loop to regulate the welding output. The power control loop and feedback system enable the power supply to adapt to the conditions of the weld and maximise its control effectiveness. The use of an analogue feedback system ensures the unit is capable of responding to variations during welding with unprecedented speed (~20 µ seconds).
Advantages: The real advantages offered by Twin Loop HFDC are provided by the design efficiency. The reduced losses in the control circuit compared to Linear DC technology make twin loop DC ideal for higher current applications. The twin loop control and feedback circuit design enables the unit to vary the switching frequency and output to maintain the same degree of control throughout the entire output range. The use of the twin loop control allows for instantaneous response of the power supply to process changes. Conventional HFDC systems have inherent delays in response due to the fixed frequency of operation. This innovative technology provides the most reliable and accurate welding output control available on the market.
